The context

Conceptual and graphic development of an educational game aimed at young people, with the aim of communicating and disseminating the fundamental values of the European Union, such as solidarity, human rights and cultural diversity, as well as reinforcing the importance of democracy, in the year commemorating the 50th anniversary of April 25th's Revolution in Portugal.

The challenge

The challenge was to create an educational game that would engage and inspire young people to understand and value the fundamental principles of the European Union, such as democracy, human rights and cultural diversity. This educational resource combines interactivity and entertainment, ensuring that it can be used with different numbers of players, and that it can be used by different educational institutions at a residual cost, with the possibility of updating the content as required.

The solution

The Democracy Game is an innovative educational game that combines education and entertainment, reflecting the fundamental values of the European Union and promoting active citizenship among young people. This educational game is not just a learning tool, but an educational ecosystem that stimulates critical thinking and collaboration. It allows for use in a variety of contexts and continuous collaboration between teachers, students and other stakeholders interested in European issues. What's more, its material characteristics, specially designed for use in educational institutions, guarantee effective use and allow for rapid updating of content.

Lively communication tool

Communicating the values of the European Union in an engaging and impactful way is the key to a clear understanding of its principles, which is crucial to the success of educational initiatives like this one. Democracy, human rights and cultural diversity are pillars of the European Union, but their relevance needs to be conveyed in a clear and impactful way.

So we created a game that speaks for itself, immediately conveying European values. Through an interactive narrative, challenges that encourage co-operation between peers, and a collaborative structure that unites teachers, students and other stakeholders, we have come up with an educational tool that truly represents the principles of the European Union.
